community engagement toolkit
As part of the grant-funded ‘Resilient Housing - Resilient Communities’ strategic planning process, we developed a community engagement toolkit which aimed to inform residents about the work of Dishgamu Humboldt, the Wiyot Tribe’s Community Land Trust, and the interconnections between housing and environmental crises. The toolkit includes two interactive activities, an introductory info station, and informational handouts. In the Summer of 2022 we worked with Wiyot youth to deploy the toolkit at tabling events throughout the region. It remains in use by Dishgamu Humboldt staff. we compiled survey results to inform Dishgamu humboldt’s 5-year strategic plan.
