we worked closely with dishgamu humboldt staff and facilitator Lulu Mickelson over the course of two years to develop the community land trust’s first 5-year strategic plan. we used our experience in affordable housing development and collective housing models to guide the organization towards a robust action plan that is meant to quickly scale their capacity to develop new housing over the next 5 years and beyond. we led the graphic design and copywriting of the report and partnered with lulu mickelson to facilitate strategic planning sessions with Dishgamu humboldt staff.
a companion document, the resilient housing - resilient communities implementation guide, is forthcoming and builds on this work through a deep analysis of housing and resilient building strategies that align to dishgamu humboldt’s mission, vision, and values.
