we worked with lulu mickelson to conduct community engagement throughout the design process of the jaroujiji’ youth housing project. the engagement process included a series of technical interviews with supportive housing developers throughout california, a listening session with local service providers, and a feedback circle for youth who have experienced housing insecurity. this process not only provided critical feedback during the design process, but also helped the project team develop relationships and resource networks that will contribute to the operational success of the project. our work included event design, facilitation, and synthesis. the final engagement report can be viewed here.
this supportive housing project for youth is currently in the permitting phase. you can learn more and find project updates here.
